no left border and double the body!

I'm so confused! Yesterday morning my website was working great. I didn't
have to upload or update anything to it, I just left it. But last night I
wanted to look at something and my left border is totally gone and my body is
being displayed twice. What the heck happened?! Why did my border get taken
off all my pages and the body on EVERY page got doubled? Why did it do that
without me doing anything to it? This is the 2nd time it's happened, but the
first time it kind of fixed itself.
When I view my live site and click "edit with frontpage" it comes up normal
in frontpages, so is there a way I can reupload it correctly back to either
my documents or my ftp? THere's no way I want to go through every single
page and manually add the left border and delete all the content.

Thanks!

Check and make sure that you have the latest service packs for FrontPage by
going to office.microsoft.com. There's actually a bug that was fixed in one
of the services packs (depending upon which version of FP that you have)
that would cause the double content phenomenon during a publish.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Mark, I'll check that out!!

OK, I've been searching for an answer and can't find anything on that site.
Does it matter that I have FP 2000? I'm not real good with all the technical
terms, so this is confusing me more. I guess it would help if you could
point me in the right direction as far as what the "service pack" is.

Thanks again!

I found the service pack 3 to download and I have done that. Where should I
go now? Do I have to reboot something or will this still not fix the problem
for me?

Thanks

You web host must also have all of the later FP extensions updates install as well to completely
solve the problem.

I'll double check with them, but I beleive they were up to date. So now how
do I get it to publish correctly? If it loads into FP correctly will it
still republish correctly? It's not working now, but will all these updates
fix that?

Thanks Thomas

Do a complete publish, then turnaround and do Change Page Only publish.

FYI: Avoid using the Selective File Publish command.

Ok, now just to be sure:
should I publish to the ftp or my documents? And I should publish the
entire thing first and then go back and publish changed pages.

And what did you mean by : "avoid selective file publish command"?

Thanks!

1. Does the remote server have the FP extensions, since you mention FTP?

2. If the server has extension, then open current web and publish to http://www.yourdomain.com using
the complete publishing option, then do a second publish using the Change Pages Only option.

3. Selective Publishing is the ability to "publish" individual files, this is not a good option as
it only upload the specific selected files, and not anything associated with the files or
dependencies.

I can't publish to http://www.mydomain.com because I can not copy the
FrontPage web to itself. Remember how I have to open the live site and then
click "edit with frontpage" because it changed everything in "my documents".
This is the only way that it opens correctly. Should I publish directly to
the ftp or back to my documents? Or something else?
My server does have FP extensions installed.

I tried to publish to my ftp and it got to "processing web updates" and froze
up. I've tried 3 times now and it freezes at that exact spot every time.
What's with that?

Ok, if you are opening and working on the live/remote server, then you can only publish back to your
local PC or another internet location. I still don't understand how FTP is being used.
