No items in Network Connections

Windows 2000 Pro PC. There is no items listed in the Network Connections Window. IE Local Area connection does not now appear nor do any of the modem internet dialups. The connections are definately there and working as the
PC can still access the LAN and the Intenet modem Dialups do appear in the properties of Internet Explorer/Connections tab
Any one any ideas on how to make them reappear again

There may be an issue with some DLLs not registered properly, please take a look at the following KB:
