No IP configuration

Hi, I picked up a nasty virus on my Lenovo Think centre. I couldn't do a system restore and if I opened Malwarebytes or Avast I was told I don't have permission.
I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate and I can't access the internet. In Device manager everythings OK, I get a message Local Area Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration. I know what my IP address is. I think when I reinstalled Windows 7 there were three partitions which I deleted 2 and formatted the larger drive to install on. I would be grateful for any help

Ok, i sorted it. I ran another PC on the network. Then unplugged it put mine on and now its working
