no internet

i have windows xp sp2. for some reason i can no longer access the internet, i
am still using msn messaging with no problem sending or recieving messages
but i can't access the internet. any help would be appreceated.

You probably need LSP-Fix or a similar program.

Repairs Winsock 2 settings, caused by buggy or improperly-removed
Internet software, that result in loss of Internet access.

Have a friend email you the program. Or, here's a post I found that
could help:

"To repair Winsock if you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)
installed, type "netsh winsock reset" (without the quotation marks) at
the command prompt, and then press ENTER.

To repair Winsock if you do not have Windows XP SP2 installed, delete
the corrupted registry keys, and then reinstall the TCP/IP protocol.
(Open Network Connections, Properties on your connection, and add TCP/IP.)

Well I dont know who your Internet service provider is but usually they have
some free tech support. You may want to call them and tell them you cant
connect and have them troubleshoot with you and walk you through fixing the
process.
