I've just installed RC1 on a clean partition and I can't access the
internet.
The beta version worked fine.
No microsoft, no google, just a "live" searchpage.

Network troubleshooter says everything is working ok.

Any ideas?

I did a search on the group (I know, I should've done that first) and I
found a reference to my nic drivers being flakey. I have a marvel yukon
card. I'll try the xp drivers and see what happens.

I had the same problem but I found a solution that worked for me. You have
to go into device manager and open the properties tab of your yukon nic card.
Then click on advanced...then make sure the IPV4 checksum offload is
'disabled' then make sure the TCP checksum offload IPV4 is 'disabled' and the
UDP checksum offload IPV4 is 'disabled' and you should be all set.

Maybe you need a Vistas-specific driver for your modem?

I replaced my Marvell Yukon with a DLink DFE-530TX and my problem was solved.

Thanks

That particular card is the best one I've ever used in Windows. It
always works, no matter what OS is installed.

It also might be because the Yukon card is not "auto-configuring", as
the DLink DFE-530 TX is.

Follow-up to my post...

I installed the xp drivers for my nic from the driver disk that came with my
motherboard.
Fixed the problem. Now I got net.

The internet is not installed on Vista RC1, but will hopefully be included
with the release version.
