No Internet access to eBay and Facebook

"Suddenly", after having my computer repaired, I get a "No Internet access"
or "Internet not connected" message when signing in to either eBay or Facebook;
clicking the Check network box reports all is working.

I can sign in to eMail, my online banking accout and other sites. Is there
anything I can check/fix to get access/sign into aBay and Facebook?
