I have 3 machines 2 desk tops and 1 laptop. They are connected by a
wireless Linksys G router. Although I am only using it at this time
as an access point. the main desktop runs Win xp, the other desktop
Win98Se and the laptop Win98. I can share files, and print from any
of the machinces. I am using the win xp machine to share my dialup
conection. I have the internet gateway icon on the other
desktoprunning Win 98se and therefore can dial and disconnect from
there. I can not get the internet gateway icon on the laptop.
Although when i open internet explorer it starts the dial up
connection in the Win xp machine and connects to internet. Without
the internet gateway icon I can not disconect when using the
laptop.When I go Start-programs- accessories- communications-
internet gateway i get the message that Windows did not find an
internet gateway on your network. Check to be sure that all cables
are connected correctly and that you have one of the following A
computer that is running Win XP or greater with internet connection
sharing enabled or an internet gateway with universal plug and play
enabled.
Any suggestions?
