I have recently upgraded my HD due to space problems. I used ghost to create
the disk image and seemed to work ok. But have had a problem with my anti
virus - Mcafee. I try to reload my software over the web but get a message
saying that the activex control has been blocked by the information bar.
There is then some information about how to work with this (changing some
setting, etc) but I don't have an Information bar to click on to accept the
active x control. I've look around to see if there were some help on this
but can't find any. Can anyone out there make a suggestion? It would be
greatly appreciated.

Jan,

I appreciate your response. Unfortunately still have no information bar. I
looked at all three of your references and tried the steps (in reverse) for
the third ref but my settings were as they are supposed to be! A real
mystery.

Hi Bri-kO :-)

For the moment, try the following settings and see if you can get the McAfee
installed. You can then reset them.

Go to IE>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, scroll down to the Security
section of the list. Check the box next to "Allow active content to run from
CDs files on My Computer"
Then check the box, next to "Allow active content to run in files on My
Computer"
Then click OK.

This should deactivate Information Bar action and allow you to install the
McAfee.

If not, then try resetting your IE settings to default:
