No IE w/o VPN

My XP and W2K users can't connect their laptops to the web when they take
them home at night. At least without connecting back to our domain server
via a VPN connection. Have I setup IE wrong in some fashion? No static IP
addresses, DNS, or WINS entries are inserted in the TCP/IP properties of the
NIC. It seems IE is wanting to go thru our network for Internet access.
Anything I can do to change this?

Are they using their own ISP?
What does ipconfig /all show?
Have you asked them for traces?

BTW this is slightly off-topic for this newsgroup.
You would probably get better assistance from a newsgroup
which specializes in networking for your OS.
