No icon on tab

I'm using XP SP2 and Word 2002. I recently install Acronis. Since then,
when I'm using Word, there is no icon on the tab at teh bottom of the screen
(on the taskbar). I installed Acronis a few days later on a different
computer. The same thing happened -- icon disappeared. That is how I am
99% sure that Acronis is somehow causing this odd behavior.

Can I go into the registry and add an icon key back to the Word tab? Or
what? Thanks!
 
Uninstall Acronis and see if it fixes the problem, if so, contact Acronis
tech support (maybe do this before the uninstall) and report the problem,
they may already have a fix.

Before doing anything else, go to the following website and scroll down to Line 240, left side. Click the "Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar" link to download the .vbs file. Double click the downloaded file to run the fix.

Hi Kelly. Acronis True Image v8. The programs ARE minimized to the
taskbar. But the taskbar tab does not have show the icon for Word. Odd --
it shows the icon for all other programs, including Excel!

Is your fix still appropriate, given my clarification?

oUCH! With a comment like that, there's no value in reading anything else
here. Apparently you haven't read the OPs wording, and/or don't know what
Acronis means in that context.

I don't think it'd hurt to run that, but I also don't think it's the source
of your problem. In other words it couldn't hurt, but it might be adding
chaff to the problem.

If your looking for a known issue with a software product, of course it's important to know which product your looking for. Isn't it???

The OP specifically stated that the problem occured immediately after installing Acronis, so my query as to which Acronis product he installed was completely in line with his message.
