You obviously didn't read my first posting from a couple
of hours earlier. I said that my computer jumps into 256
color mode when I turn it on. I've checked all the game
compatibilities and every other setting I could find and
everything seemed fine. It changes mode when I check
email or even when I'm just surfing. It's easy enough to
change back to my original settings but why does it keep
changing? It's very annoying, just like people who can't
read minds!
You are using the web based reader. It appears that you did not post back to
you original message. I found your post of "a couple of hours ago". It read,
"Whenever I turn the computer on it jumps into 256 color

color but why is it doing this. Sometimes when I'm
checking email it changes mode as well. or even just

800x600 is a matter screen of resolution, not colors. What kind of video
card do you have.
