No HDD's detected in BIOS on a working machine?

P4C800-E Deluxe MB. I have a single IDE WD1200JB hooked up to the Promise
controller IDE connection, installed drivers on XP installation, everything
is up and running fine for days now. If I go to Boot Device Priority it
shows a SATA378 TX2plus as a boot device. But my AMI BIOS does not show any
HDD installed in the Main screen, even as the Third or Forth Primary Master.
Is this normal?

If you have a RAID controller or similar then I would not expect the HDD to
show up in the main BIOS screen.

In my board (ASUS) the HDD on the RAID, which I only use as ordinary IDE,
show up in a secondary detection screen, not the one that also shows
interupts etc.

Yes, this is what mine does too. It must be normal. Thanks.
