No graphics show on some websites

Since I loaded DSL several favorites show no pictures.
View/Encoding shows language as Western European (ISO).
When I change to Western European (Windows) pictures come
up, but next link goes back to ISO and no pics, only rec
x's. Cannot seem to fix this problem. Can anyone help?
 
As indicated in this article you may be missing some .nls files or your
registry setting is incorrect.

Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet Explorer
A Web page may display an image as a red X, or a placeholder may appear in
place of the image.
