No functionality beyond startup screen

I have created 4 different os images and they all show only the startup
screen. All I can do is logoff, restart, and shutdown. How do I get task
bars, icons, file management, and other functionalities to be enabled. I've
added many components each time, but I still get just the startup screen. I
would simply like to run an application. How do I do this. Help!

Hi eric,
What do you mean "Start up screen"? Did FBA complete? If you can log
off/restart/shutdown it sounds like your image is good. If so what shell are
you using? If you are using explorer shell, then you can can tweak the
settings from the User Interface Core component.

eric,

I think I already gave you the answer yesterday but here is the copy...

Start with Settings of the "User Interface Core" component instance in your configuration.
Also add "Start menu Shortcuts" component.

How do I do that? I clicked on the User interface core component in the
configuration, and then settings, and it said there were no settings to
configure, yet the book I have said that that component has different
settings. I just can't find out how to change the settings. The software
told me there were no settings for that component. What do I do?

eric,

When you select the Settings node of the "User Interface Core" component instance in the configuration what do you see on the right
side panel in TD?

Kevin,
Yes, you are right. There is a list of items that I needed to check so
that they would show. None of them were enabled. Thanks alot. Thanks for
being interested in helping me.

Eric
