no font for FSX menus?

so this just suddenly happened, and I'm not entirely sure why, I've read a previous thread and tried a few other things but it just isn't fixing for me :confused: I've tried deleting the CFG, letting it rewrite, replacing the font, downloading the same one and using that too, just no luck, any help?? I would very much appreciate it! Thanks!

We had a similar post on that back in, err, 2007, not sure if it helps ...

| Here's the easy fix (you must close FSX first!) .....

| 1. Go to your Windows/Fonts directory and copy the verdana.fft file
| (You will NOT be able to right click and use the mouse menu for this -
| use the menu items at the top bar i.e. Edit/Copy)

| 2. Paste this file into your FSX/Fonts directory. Assuming a "standard"
| install, this would be C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator
| X/Fonts
|
| 3. Start FSX and enjoy!
|
| 4. I wrote this up and gave it Microsoft for their FAQs so, this is an
| advanced workaround for you guys ... let me know how it goes!

Yeah, I DID try that thanks :/ however I also DID use the mouse to copy/paste the verdana.ttf because I didn't see an "Edit" option on the above toolbar... Thanks SOO much for your reply, but it's just a very frustrating problem because I always fly IFR, and the ATC menu doesn't show up either. And yeah, the resolution on FS.com led me to that post in 2007 so not much luck. Again thank you so much for your reply, any help is appreciated
