No Folder View ?

Regretting the upgrade..

Just did a 98 to 2K Pro upgrade
In Explorer...
Im getting a Greyed-out area on the left pane!
No folder tree AND! when I click ON "WINDOWS" it takes me to My Docs folder??? and Not My computer???
Any ideas??

You may be able to solve this problem by reinstalling Internet Explorer. For more
information, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article that includes the
following...

"SYMPTOMS
In addition, the Folder view pane in Windows Explorer may be blank or gray
instead of having the folder tree view."

Or, if you want to try a registry fix published at the "Tech Support Guy Bulletin
Board", see the following Web Page. Note, after the regedit you may need to log off
and then log back on.
