I haven't seen a computer sold with a floppy drive for many years now
However, I have a program that requires me to install it from th
floppy drive. I can read it from another computer with a floppy driv
and get the image, but I'm looking for a program that will emulate
floppy drive or floppy disk. Does anyone know of any

You need new glasses then.

Which program specifically ?

Its easy enough to do that with a CD burner.

It isnt hard to buy a floppy drive and plug one in temporarily either.

Emulating a floppy drive is pretty hard. Best get the real thing.
Most mainboards still have floppy controllers. Cable plus drive
should not cost much more than 20 EUR/USD.

I'm don't mean emulation on boot. I mean emulation in Windows (XP)

That really doesn't answer anything about emulation. I think I woul
have done that already if I wasn't dealing with a laptop

So the original question was: Is there a program that will emulate
floppy drive under Windows

You clearly do. Most computers are still sold with a floppy
drive with the exception of laptops and notebooks.
Are people here always this rude?

Nope, just when someone says something as stupid as that.
This is Mitchell, a car repair product.

Is it a dinosaur ? Can be a problem
that a real floppy drive is simplest with.
I'm don't mean emulation on boot.

True. Some stuff does need installation from floppy
with no OS involved, it wasnt clear if that applied to you.
That really doesn't answer anything about emulation.

Yes, but it is the best approach with a desktop.

You didnt say it was a laptop.

Nope, not with a laptop.

You can get USB floppy drives for laptops. Not clear
if that dinosaur will be happy to install using that tho.

My gratitude goes to Harry331. I'll try it out later today. Other tha
that, a couple of you may rejoice because I'm not coming back here.
don't mind any more offending comments because I won't be here to se
them. But seriously, if you're not 13 years old anymore, learn som
manners
