No Firewall

help!!!!!
Anyone out there that can help with a problem Firewall...
I have a popup that has told me for quite some time that the Firewall is not
on. When clicking on the problem, and then clicking enable now, it tells me
that it is unable to do so and tells me to go to control panel and open
Firewall. When I do this it says it's unable to open!!! Since the popup has
appeared Iam unable to start using my PC until the popup dissappears. Any
ideas???

Are you running any security suites like Norton or McAfee?
