A jumper on the drive, probably a label on the drive to show
where to set the jumper.

You don't want to. It is desirous to set a burning device as master and a
read-only device as the slave. If you look at the back of both drives you
will see some pins and a jumper. Above that there should be a guide telling
which pins need to be covered (we call this 'shorting out'). Set the jumpers
accordingly (you must do this with the system switched off) and then boot
back to Windows. If it still isn't picking up both drives, right click my
computer and select properties, then the hardware tab. Click the device
manager button and then click the little computer icon right at the top of
the DM window, then click the computer/mangnifying glass icon that should
now have appeared on the bar underneath the menu bar (the tooltip will read
'scan for hardware changes'). This will force the system to pick up any
unregistered hardware.

If that doesn't work, post back.
