On one laptop I have Toshiba SD-R2102 and Media Player 8. Everything works
fine.

On another one, I have Toshiba SD-R6102 and Media Player 9. If I play MPG
file, it's fine. When I insert a DVD, it gives me the option on using
InterDVD (or something like this) and WMP. Either one plays the sound but no
video. Anything I can do?

I tried to remove WMP 9 and install 8 but I did not see WMP in the list of
Add/Remove Software so I did not touch it.

TIA

Well if either give u sound u might want to make sure u
have the latest sound card drivers installed.

I have sound on both machine.
I have video when I play mpeg file from hard drive on both machine.

The problem: I don't have video when playing DVD on WMP 9.

I forgot to mention that the machine is XP. WinDVD is already installed. It
is my friend's machine and he says he used to be able to see DVD until WMP 9
was installed.

Tell him to reinstall his DVD playing codec or software which will install
the codec.

I have his machine to fix the problem (he thinks I know about computer), so
I have to load it for him. Where do I download these for XP?
