No duration indicated in WMP (or W.Explorer) for .mpg movie file t

Durations are listed for .avi .asf .wmv and .mpeg file types but not for the
..mpg file type. I looked at file associations to see if there was some kind
of advanced setting for preview or the like but I could not find anything.
Perhaps this issue is a result of installing and uninstalling a previous
media player or codec?

Correction: Durations are only listed for a handful of .mpeg files. 99% of
the time there is no duration listed for either .mpeg or .mpg files.
