Hello,

Today I got an flash-based MP3 player. I plugged it into the PC's USB port.
With Widows Explorer, I see the player as a drive, yet I do not see a drive
letter. Can you tell me why there is no drive letter? I need the drive
letter because I want to use the console to write to the player. Thanks.

It may not be assigned a drive letter. For example, I have a Philips
8GB mp3 player. No drive letter. I add music files via Windows Media
Player (9) => Sync. I add data files via drag-and-drop.

My newer Sansa MP3 player also never gets a drive letter assigned.
You can copy and paste by clicking on the MP3 player icon that should
show up in your "My Computer" icon.
