No Downloads, please HELP

I get a message --- "Internet Explorer was unable to open this internet
site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found - Please
try again later".
I have "defaulted" everything in Internet explorer and have checked the
Registry settings. All services are turned on, but the problem still exists.
The download will start and then the error message.
Will I Have to re-install Internet explorer, and if so how do I do it?
Please HELP

You may simply have a corrupt cache; create a new one as per the

I have the same problem Ed,
Looks like we'll be reading together....lol
I'll let you know if I find an ans, but the first thing I'm gonna do is kill
the cache!
