The story so far: I keep getting this message after start up: NO DISK.
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c
75b6bf9c. It gives me the option of cancel, try again or continue. I usually
just cancel or continue, and it doesn't seem to affect the operation of the
computer. It began when I installed Norton AntiVirus 2008. I then: did a
system restore, did a disk scan for errors, uninstalled Norton with the
Norton website uninstaller, ran a virus scan, deleted all cookies & history -
and most recently tried renaming my drives (not C or D -just the removable
media). Nothing worked. Somebody suggested that this might be a QuickTime
problem & to uninstall & reinstall it. But - do I even need QuickTime? What
is it? If I uninstall it, how do I reinstall it, since it came pre-loaded?
Sorry - I know this is lots of questions! - Katie

QT is not the only application mentioned for the problem, there are many others and
all with varying solutions from clearing out Recent Apps to
Uninstalling/Reinstalling.

Thank you, Brian. I tried the first option you suggested, a clean boot. (I
used the ms utility). Same problem. So I restored back to a normal boot. The
other 2 links you sent looked too advanced for me.

Glad to hear it, you're quite welcome Katie.

If you don't use QT which is Apples media player you can uninstall it via:
Start > Run, type in: appwiz.cpl and press Enter or click Ok.
Scroll down the list in the Add/Remove Programs window to QuickTime.
Click on QT > Remove button.

If at a later date you find you need it to view a .mov media file, you can
download/install it from the web. However, I would suggest using QT Alternative or
QT Lite.

I'll probably remove it, since it seems like a troublesome program anyhoo.
