I recently upgraded from 98SE to XP. Used to be that when I clipped
something with ctrl C, or from a program, I would hear a ding. How do I get
the ding back?

Perhaps you also failed to install winxp drivers for your hw from the manu
sites, NOT winupdate.
Or perhaps you need to check in 'Sounds/Media' (Control Panel) for the
various options

I can't see a way to do that.

Did you have Clipmate installed before and it's not installed now? Or needs
to be reinstalled or upgraded due to your XP upgrade? That program makes a
noise whenever anything is captured to clipboard.

Also wondering if this sound was due to a keyboard option. Have never seen
it offered with the keyboards I've used but I haven't used all keyboards...
If this is the source, it would be one of the customizing options added by
the supplemental software for the keyboard.
