I was using my laptop Saturday night and was on the internet. I woke up
Sunday and turned my laptop on and now all I get is my background. No
navigation bar, no icons and my mouse won't right click. I can access a few
things by the task manager but that's it. Anyone have any suggestions!

A few things to try:

- Run this line to do a System Restore:

c:\Windows\System32\Restore\rstui.exe

- As a test, create a new account.

- Try launching Explorer.exe from Task Manager, and see if it gives you
an error.

If it gives you the "Explorer.exe has encountered a problem" error, look
in the "Click Here" information for a Mod Name; that file is causing
your problems. Type:

SFC /SCANNOW

and click OK. This might repair the damaged file.

- Try some of these in Safe Mode too.
