1) You won't need to stay online too long for the shared border changes
(when done publish changes only to you local version so it doesn't overwrite them on next publish)
2) Html table are not the same as Word processing tables
See the 2 tutorials at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/training/CR061832701033.aspx
3) A splash page is what you now have at your default home page
(an empty starting page w/ a click here to enter - considered by many as a waste of time)

| Hi Stefan,
|
| I am rather a novice in using FrontPage. In Germany, I can't stay online
| too long as flat retaes do not exactly work the way it does back in North
| America. Could you explain what you mean by using tables for my page
| layouts? Do you mean using a table with columns and rows that you use for
| data in Word? If so, why? What are the advantages? How would I use them?
|
| Also, what is a "splash" page? Is it like a portal before coming into the
| site, like if you want to select between 2 or 3 languages?
|

| Thank you all for your assistance. It is appreciated.
