No Data Properties

I have created a form based on a table. I have apparently
lost the link to the table, as there are no options
available under the Data section of Properties of the Form.

How do I go about reestablishing the link - or have I done
something else incorrectly?

Open your form in design view then open properties to the Data tab. At the top
of the list should be the Record Source property and it should be set to the
name of your table. If it is blank, you can set it to your table by selecting
the name of the table from the drop down list.

Next, click on any control. The top property under the Data tab should be
Control Source. You can bind the control to any field in your table by selecting
the name of the field in the drop down list. Do the same for all appropriate
fields on your form.
