I have read all the forum but still having problem. I created a query and
then created a report from the query. I placed a print buttion on the form
and try to print my report using macro. It prints the report without any
data. I have worked all night on this without success.

i am using open report .
report name - i put the ptrecordQuery
view is print preview
filtername is blank
criteria is [ptrecordQuery]![Maternal_ID]

thanks

I simply want to print one record and thought i had to put something in the
criteria section to print only one record. I woul appreciate any help. Thanks

Reportyemi,

The expression [ptrecordQuery]![Maternal_ID] is meaningless. But it is not
clear where you have put this anyway. What do you mean by "criteria"? Are
you referring to the Where Condition argument of the OpenReport macro
action? Can you explain what you want to actually happen? Apparently there
is a field named Maternal_ID and you want the report to print the data
related to a specific value for Maternal_ID, is that correct? If so, where
is it supposed to get the specific value you are filtering by?
