No data in history since Monday

Hi,

I have no entries in my history since Monday but I still have all the sites
I visited until last week. It is weird because there is Monday, Tuesday and
Today but nothing in between even though I used my computer everyday this
past week. When I click on Monday, Tuesday or Today, there are no entries
saved. I save 365 days in my history and I do have everything until last week
but since Monday of this week, nothing has been saved.

Has anybody experienced this already?

I did a search on the discussion groups and some people mentioned that maybe
McAffee is causing problems with Internet Explorer's history but I don't use
McAffee as my antivirus.

I hope somebody will be able to give a solution to this problem because I
rely a lot on my history (that's why I save a whole year of surfing).

Thank you in advance.

Hi mjitkop :-)

try the following and see if it helps:

IE History Damaged and Won't work

Or... Your History folder may be damaged.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP and a new one will be created when you
restart.

Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
See: How To Delete the Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

You might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

also.....

Run regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software|Microsoft|Internet Explorer|Main

and insure that Save_Session_History_On_Exit is marked YES and not NO. (I
just checked mine, and it is set to NO by default).

Also try checking......

HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software|Microsoft|Internet Explorer|TypedURLs

or......

It could be that the History folder has become damaged or corrupted, try
deleting the folder, then reboot and a new one will be created.

Hope this helps

Jan :)
