no data displayed on import from Great Plains, until full-screen is selected

We use Microsoft Great Plains software, which has an
export to Excel feature. When exporting to Excel, the
program initializes and the data is in fact imported, but
you can not see it until you click on View | Full Screen.
This is only happening to one user. We would appreciate
any suggestions.
