No cursor for logon password

Looks like I am joining the masses who lose the cursor for entering a
user's password after another user logs off. I can select a user, but
there is no cursor in the password box and typing on the keyboard does
not appear in the box. It may have been in the system for a long
time, but until fixing another problem, users could not log off
properly so we did not notice. This is the family computer, so
forcing everyone to use the old style username and password entry
would not be good. Has anyone found a solution yet?

Please add to this thread if you are experiencing the same problem.
Hopefully, someone from Microsoft is watching this group. If a
problem generates enough traffic, there would be more incentive for
them to fix it.

Thanks.

Hi Hillel,

Can you use the TAB button on your keyboard to navigate to the password
area?

The problem is with Service Pack KB923191. If you uninstall it the
problem will be fixed.
