My computer was running really slow. I looked to see if there were any
programs running and I found a file called explorer.exe. The file is using
99% of the computer's CPU. Does anyone know what this program is or if there
is anyway that I can fix the problem?

You could try using System Restore to take the system back a few days, to
before the trouble.

Explorer basically IS Windows XP. If it's using 99% of the CPU, reboot your
computer. IF that doesn't clear things up, you have some pretty extensive
troubleshooting ahead of you. You would need to figure out what it is you
are doing, or opening, etc. when this slowness occurs. That will better
point you to the source of your problem.

IF you had NO CPU then you would NOT have a working COMPUTER...........CPU
is NOT the computer....
