no compatable files found

I save my slide show with music to my computer (avi file).
When I go to burn it to DVD in Nero Burner it shows no files found.
I change it to all files and try to add it and it says no compatable file
found.
I have 3 days before my little girls birthday, please help!!!

If you have the full version of Nero...
try using NeroVision Express.

In nero you can either burn a dvd, which is essentially copying it, to do
this you need the Mpeg files already converted and basically an iso file of
the dvd.
The other option is to author a dvd, which will take the avi and convert it
to Mpeg then on to vobs before burning. You need this option.
