Hello,
Just bought a HP Deskjet 5440.
When I tried to install it on my old PC (under windows 98) the CD Rom couldn't install the
whole software as my PC has only a 64Ram memory... Result: I cannot print in colour...
When I installed the software on my son's laptop (Windows XP) there was no problem, so there is
nothing wrong with the cartridge or the printer itself.
Is there any way I can find the piece of software I need for colourprinting on my old PC?

Thanks a lot

I am not sure about the 5440, but some HP printers have an option in the
driver for "Low memory mode". On my Photosmart 2610 it is found in the
"Basics" tab under the "Advanced" button.

You might also consider a memory upgrade - old memory sticks can be
found pretty cheap these days. Your overall system performance would
likely increase considerably with mode memory.
