No color on an HP OfficeJet 520

I recently upgraded to Windows XP. The printer worked
fine for a while, but now will not print in color. I've
reloaded the driver several times with no success. I've
checked all the settings in printer properties and cannot
find any switches that activate color printing. Am I
missing a switch somewhere? Or is it another problem?
 
Ensure you're not telling the printer to print in grayscale, but failing
that, check the color cartridge. If it's one of those that has all three
colors (cyan, magenta and yellow) in a single unit, even if you're printing
with black ink only, if one of the colors has run out, the printer will not
print.
