In the Add or Remove Programs windows. I highlight in order to remove
it, a program whose demostration period has expired. But I do not see
a Change/Remove button in the highlighted area as I do for other
programs in the window.

Moreover, I do not have the installation/setup files for the program.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Tony,

Check the program folder for the uninstall file.

Hi
Some programs do not put the remove option in add/remove prgrams.
you can find one in the start menu itself below the menu item to launch the program in the program group for that program.

you can find one in the start menu itself below the menu item to launch the program in the program group for that program.

All the files of the program are listed in Windows Explorer but the
program is not listed in the start menu.

If the program does not have an uninstall feature as one of it's options in the start\all programs list then go>start\run and type in regedt32 and hit ok now navigate the following route by clicking the + symbols beside the entries in this order HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall Then right click on the program in the list on the left that opens and click delete. Many of these programs may have cryptic number and letter combinations to identify them and you will need to click on them one at a time to look at the sub keys in the right panel for the programs actual name. Once you find the program then right click on the key in the left and click delete. This will remove it. Good luck. ({:~)

This is proving to be a true mystery... I found no uninstall info
among these register keys referring to the program I want to remove.
I'll probably just delete the files in Windows Explorer and call it
uninstalled (knowing all the time that its dangling tendrils are still
floating in the system...)
