No CD listed in "my computer"

I just installed Windoze. I installed it by using the CD burner in
the machine. My next step was going to be to install the drivers CD
for my mother board but, I have nothing listed for it in "my computer"

I have no luck with computers.

It turns out the IDE cable was not plugged up completely

I once went to the doctor to have my ears checked because I could
barely hear the TV even when the volume was turned up all the way.
The problem turned out to be a bad coupling capacitor in my TV's
speaker circuit.
