no cd in drive

I have made a video on my WMM. Pictures, video and audio is on this. I know
this was asked before, however, I have tried making a cd, and it goes thru
most of the process with wizard. Then I get the message no CD in Drive. I
know the cd burner works because I burn other music or videos. That is done
from CD to CD, not from computer to CD. Also it asks if I want to save to
Computer. If I open up my videos in WMM and I view the collection, doesn't
that mean that it is saved in my computer. I also have a program HP memories
that is almost the same as WMM
and when I want to create a CD in that program the same thing happens.
Message no CD in drive.

Check the 6/22/03 post on the CD Burning > Intro page of my site... maybe
it's the setting.

If you see things in your collection, it doesn't mean you saved the
movie.... the collection is for the source files you are going to use to
make a movie. A saved movie doesn't automatically get added to a collection.

i didin't know where on your site to check this setting. As far as saving
the movies I clicked on save before exiting the movie maker. So that does
mean I saved my info, When I open the video after closing my comp. all my
collections are there.

I found the site with that post. The enable box is checked. I do save other
data, musicaor video thru that drive. Could it be that my CD that I am trying
to use is not correct for saving WMM. The CD is HP CD-R.

It isn't a problem with the "type" of CD but have you tried another CD? It
could simply be a bad CD.
Another question. Believe it or not some CD/DVD writers don't recognize a
black CD as writeable, is the CD your using black?

I tried numerous CD, and it is not a black CD. However I will try it again. I
want to know if I am doing it the correct way. I go to finish my video and go
to save on CD. The message I get NO CD IN DRIVE. Also then it asks me do you
want to save to your computer. It's already saved, if my projects come up
when I open the computer doesn't that mean that it was saved? Is this just an
automatic question if someone had not saved it yet?

Your doing it correctly. The fact that it shows up in your projects only
means the project files are saved. When it is asking you to save to your
harddrive it is trying to save the actual rendered movie file.
