I have been trying to work on a computer that is in a Marine Corps
barrack. The wireless internet there requires a log in, similar to a
tmo hotspot or the kind they have in a hotel. That means, instead of
going to your home page, it redirects you to their homepage so that
you can log in before you may access the internet. The page it should
be redirecting to is "https://itiga.net/Payment/?
AP=MT&Portal=000016." However, the computer is trying to go so
something along the lines of "https://itiga.net/Payment/?
AP=MT&Portal=000016=="http://www.google.com"." I'm not sure of the
exact line it's trying to go to b/c I am no longer near that
computer.
Anyway, I can get around this problem by setting the home page to
"https://itiga.net/Payment/?AP=MT&Portal=000016." Then I am able to
access the page I want. However, when I log in on another computer,
the browser goes to "https://itiga.net/login" and then is immediately
re-directed to "https://itiga.net/status." When I try to log in on
the computer in question, it goes to "https://itiga.net/login" and
gets stuck b/c it is not getting the re-directed URL to "https://
itiga.net/status."
I have tried uninstalling all browsers and trying to re-install them
one at a time. I have tried IE, FF, and Opera. It has to be some
windows setting somewhere, I'm just not sure where. This computer is
running XP SP2. I don't know what version of IE it was, but it was
the newest one downloaded off the Microsoft web page.
Anyone have any ideas what to edit to make it take or recieve or
accept or whatever re-directed URLs?
