My buddy gave me his computer to look at, cause it's not booting...Plus, it
beeps like an English cop car, even after it gets turned off...I took out
the CPU to see if it was fried, but it looks fine...

My guess would be a mobo problem, but I was wondering if anyone knew what
else I could check...

Thanks,
Tom

Could be a video card too; why not take it into the shop???

Pete says:
Nope...No POST, no BIOS, no monitor activity at all...I power it up, it
beeps it's continuous 2 beeps, then it shuts itself down...It even continues
to beep after I pull the power cord out...

And pay through the nose for a fix I can probably find here, or on one of
the other NGs? No thanks...

Are you shure those beeps are on the PowerOnSelfTest.
It sounds like a video card or memory problem. Pull out the
video card and try again. You can search for the beep codes
on the Internet.

Nope, it was the CPU that was fried...And I found the beep code, which said
it was the CPU...I got a good look at the CPU in some good light and some of
the little chips on the underside were discolored, and on the top it looked
a little melted...

I took a couple pictures...Check it out here:
