Hi readers,
Needing some help rather urgent. I have a laptop
just 3mths old
when i power up ,I get as far as the Toshiba logon ,enter pasword but it
fails to go through
the Bios check. The cursor just hangs top left corner. I cant get through F8
to the safe mode
I used the laptop Sunday lunchtime, set a system restore before installing
some Utilities, then
shut down. I go on holiday next Tuesday, hopefully with the laptop
When i press any key ,there is a loud series of beeping ,thats just about
it. also posted on
Toshiba forums.

Ha! the laptop is Sat Pro A200 series , with XP Prp OS

Does it stop at a Toshiba Logon? or the Windows Logon?
If it wants a password before the Windows Logon, then you have a BIOS password set.
If it wants a Windows Password, then you have boot problem.
The use of the F8 key for a startup menu has to done before the Windows logon ever comes up.
Start tapping the F8 rapidly as soon as power is turned on.

you might want to
get help from toshiba
since your machine is
still in warranty.
