Hi,
The 'install updates automatically' was checked...was
prompted to re-boot...attempted..then computer unable to
boot with completely blank screen and no power to mouse.
And if you do install the Windows Updates you end up with a non-working
system.
The problems with some of the Windows Updates have been discussed to death
on the newsgroups. I'm well aware of the exploits to the Windows systems.
Personally I don't have hours and hours of time to spend troubleshooting the
problems that some of these windows updates create. I'm still searching for
a resolution to a problem caused by such an update on my windows nt 4.0
development workstation.
