No Backup Utility

Me2Ewe

When I try to backup I get an empty white box that says Backup Utility on
the top, but that's it I cannot do anything to it not even close the box or
delete it. It has to reboot before the box will go away.
Any more good ideas guys & gals

It sounds like it has been damaged in some way. Have you tried reinstalling
the utility? If you have XP Home the utility is found on the XP CD in the
ValueAdd folder. Check here for more info

If you have XP Pro then you can try to repair by popping your XP Pro CD into
the drive (from windows desktop), cancelling the install window then click
Start button->Run and type SFC/SCANNOW.
 
should read SFC /SCANNOW

there is a space between "SFC" and "/SCANNOW"

I ran sfc /scannow and also tried to reinstall it but nothing
