no auto update

AutoUpdater will not work manually or automatically. I
get, "Warning, unable to connect to the internet. Port 80
is active and my Norton Firewall is set to "permit".
Anyone else had this problem? How to fix? Tried re-
installing. No change. Everything else works fine.

Carl - it's probably Norton. I have AVG and just posted the
following:

Well, this program is a busy little bee. It runs every
night automatically and reports in - in the morning - and
it updates itself automatically if I want it to. Quite
workable, I'd say. Apparently I now have a computer that
sweeps itself out every night and then reports to me in the
morning and throws the dreck in the dustbin at my command.
It works for me.
