When capturing live TV via analog TV pci card (Hauppauge WinTV pvr) Video is
fine but I can't get the sound in the preview window. I have trired changing
the audio input source.

Ensure the Line In on the Soundcard (if that's where you changed it to) is
not set to Mute.

I am having this same problem - actually it looks like with the same hardware
- (TV pci card (Hauppauge WinTV pvr) ) . The line in on the soundcard is not
set to mute .. any other ideas ?

Please help the boy ..

What have you changed the input source from? And to?
And via what?
I have a number of hauppauge PCI cards and external units,
Change settings on your *Soundcard* - The option "Record Source"
to "Stereo Mix", either via system tray icon or entry in control panel.
If that dosen't cure problem, post back

Hi, the sound card is a creative SB Audigy 2 ZS. The record source settings
are Wave/MP3, Analog mix (line/cd/aux), CD digital, “What u hearâ€, but no
stereo mix!!. If set at “what u hear†and mute off that’s the sound that
comes out on the captured video, ie music If music is playing in media
player. The TV card captures video and sound in other applications (
InterVideo Windvd creator ).

OK,
In your soundcards menus ensure "What you hear"(?)
is the selected "Record source".
Then open WMM/File/Capture video:
Is your hauppauge analog capture card listed?
If so:
Ensure "Audio Device" option lists your soundcard
and that it is selected.
Ensure "Audio input source" is selected to "What you hear"(?)
Ensure the "Input level" slider is to full.
If none of the above options match, click once to hi-light
your capture card, then hit the "Configure" button.

If your capture card is listed

Hello again,
Yes in WMM Capture from video device, Hauppauge WinTV is the only device
available and the sound card is stated to be Audigy 2 ZS. Again it is the
only device available with audio record source set on “what you hearâ€, volume
slider up full. The sound card is also set with the same settings.
If I import recorded TV via import files/my videos they play with sound and
video ok it's when I want live TV I get on sound from the TV card.
