No audio

I am trying to use mm2 with the ATI TV Wonder VE card software. I was doing fine until we had a power failure. Before that, I had to start up the TV tuner and play for a few seconds, close it, then open mm and go through the video capture procedure. After I saved it, I had to re-boot my computer and go through the same procedure to copy the next video. The settings appear to be the same as they were before I lost power. I have it set for line in and TV tuner with input set high. I get audio when I use the ATI TV tuner, but none when I use mm now. I want to use mm to edit the videos as the ATI software doesn't do that. I looked for John Kelly's codec page he offered in a previous message but couldn't find it.

Hello there,

The Rename Codec page is to be found in the downloads section of my website.

On the information provided, I do not think the program will help you out. Your
problem seems to be rooted in your config files at the least, and at worst
corruption of one or more files when the power was lost.

Whatever the cause. I would recommend that you un-install the software first
and then the cards. (You don't have to remove your graphics card, XP will drop
back to using its basic functions only) After that, re-boot twice and then
install the card again and update its drivers and then install the latest
versions of directX, Media Player and Movie Maker, rebooting between each
install (That's important)

While following the above procedure, DO NOT be tempted to do what we are all
guilty of and "see if its fixed it yet"...wait until you have installed all of
the components and software first.

Hope this helps a little
