When I try to play any audio I get the error message that
the file can't be played because the pins are not
connected. Could someone PLEASE TELL ME what the hell a
pin is and how I could possibly fix this problem!!? The
audio worked fine for a day and then went back to not
allowing me to play audio. Any info on pins would help.

Thanks so much :D

I think that can be one of two things.
Either the the pins on the back of the connector that
goes into the ports at the back of your computer or the
pins on the sound card inside your computer aren't fit
into the slots right. I can't think of any other pins.
Hope this helps. - Tony

I don't have any of my video editing software loaded right now, but
deep in some of the configuration settings, there are "pins" that tie
the video inputs and outputs and audio inputs and outputs together.
It's actually talking about a software configuration setting rather
than hardware. Roxio Video Wave Power Edition ver. 5 is one of the
programs I've seen with this.
