I've made my movie with the audio from video clip. Also added a song at the
end over a picture. When I save it to DVD and play it on my DVD player,
there is no sound.

Would you like to give more details.
What app you are using for editing, what app you are suing for authoring the
dvd, what file types you used at teh very beginning, what file types you
saved as in the editing app, what file types you chose when authoring, what
sound format you chose in authoring, makes of dvd, dvd player etc etc

Hello Psuiu And Graham,
I have the same problem. I'm using .mpegs
all of which
seem to have the same properties as the ones that are producing sound. I'm
writing video music tracks to a DVD disc using CyberLink MakeDVD. The majority
have sound, but some do not. All the .mpegs play perfectly well on my Windows
Media Player - and they all copy fine to CD R as well. The audio codec is
WMPlug,
I'm wondering if this is the problem...........
The Video Codec is CyberLink/SP Decoder (PCM4) and the Media Type is Video.
So can somebody HELP with an answer please or a pleasant suggestion.

Thunder are you sayiong that when you make a dvd the audio doesn't work, but
if you play it in wmp it does work, and if you make a cd it does work?
What sort of cd are you making?
It sounds like either the way the audio is being processed isn't like by
your dvd player or you are using the wrong audio setting. It you are suing
mpeg audio, choose lpcm or ac-3.

Thank-You for the reply Graham.
I'm saying that most of the time when I make a DVD from whatever format - i.e.
AVI to PAL or WMV to PAL or MPEG to PAL they all come out FINE. This has
always
been the case with CDR's as well. However, I have recently transferred some
MPEG music videos (maybe it was too many too large at once - although I did
try a second time with the same outcome) to DVD PAL and NOT all of them had
sound on the new DVD........I'm puzzled as to WHY this is, because I cannot
see
a relevant pattern to stop me from making future useless DVD's !!! Generally I
have not experienced ANY problems - the music videos where predominantly
downloaded from a free site, which seems to convert some SVCD's to MPEG's -
do you think that may be a possible cause ?

As for lpcm or ac-3 I don't have a clue what you're talking about. I'm not
an expert !
But I'll look into it............
