XP Professional, 2.8 ghz, 512 ram, C & D drive. I was running low on disk
space on the C and decided to do a search for superfluous jpg files- began
merrily erasing everything that looked unimportant including a bunch that
were in the java cache(?). After doing all that, problems really began:
Don't have any sound at all - tried using Kelley's fixes but then found out
that I have "no audio device."
Turning on and shutting down computer take triple the amount of time that it
took in the past.
The chevron used to hide and unhide the icons on bottom-right of taskbar has
disappeared even tho I configured it to do so on properties of taskbar.
Have installed and kept updated adaware, spybot, spyblaster, and norton
anti-virus. Doesn't seem to be a spyware problem.
HELP PLEASE!
Thanks,
